According to contractormag.com, a study conducted by Eric Mower + Associates Group B2B, found that 50% of contractors used a smartphone to make their purchasing decisions. 49% reported using a laptop with mobile web access, and 21% use an iPad or other table. The EMA’s Contractor Insight Study was administered to 500 general contractors, plumbing contractors, HVAC contractors and electricians.

The new smartphones and web devices have changed the way that contractors do business. A whopping 91% percent used use online resources to assist in purchase making decisions, and now they are taking the devices on the road.
